Last Summer's Appeal -- Thank you 2021 donors!

Thanks to the support of our 2021 donors Olean Center staff members have been hitting the road since the start of the pandemic, and their journey has only just begun.

Participants and staff members of the Olean Center wish to extend a big Thank You for all those who made a 2021 donation to our emergency transportation and security needs throughout 2021.

Because of your kindness and generosity, we now have all of our vehicles operating again following the theft of catalytic converters from our vans and car. These vehicles are vital to our mission of ensuring that our friends and neighbors with developmental disabilities can be included in all of the wonderful aspects of our community. 

Additionally, we were able to install security cameras and related signs around the Center in an effort to discourage any kind of vandalism or theft in the future.

Special thanks to Phil Allen of South County Auto in Westerly and Jamie Silvestri of the Westerly NAPA store for their donations of labor and parts, and to the Washington Trust Co., for leading the way with a significant gift immediately upon hearing of our need.

It is kind acts like those of our donors that make the Greater Westerly Area such a wonderful place in which to live and work.
