The world shines a little brighter thanks to people like Alan and Darlene Kline.
Deeply committed to giving back, the Klines believe in supporting causes that make a meaningful difference—and they believe wholeheartedly in the mission of the Frank Olean Center. Grateful for the ability to give, they hope their support inspires others to contribute in ways that are meaningful to them, too.
“We’re so glad we met Ruth and the wonderful team at the Olean Center, and we’ll continue to help however we can,” Alan shared in a recent conversation. “There’s so much good being done here.”
Owners of Lynn Ladder and Scaffolding in Lynn, Massachusetts—a family business approaching its 80th anniversary—the Klines relocated to this area five years ago. Since then, they’ve become active supporters of several local organizations, bringing the same generous spirit they’ve shared with groups like My Brother’s Table and the Postal Service Union’s ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ campaign.
Darlene first discovered the Olean Center at our Sugar concert fundraising event. She soon began volunteering at the front desk, where she quickly witnessed the warmth, dedication, and impact of the Center’s work. With a personal connection to the intellectual and developmental disability community, the mission resonated on a deeply personal level.
That experience sparked a meaningful connection between the Klines and the Center—one built on generosity, shared values, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
“We just hope our story encourages others to give what they can,” they shared. “There’s always a way to help—and it all makes a difference.”
