This is a milestone year in more ways than one! As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, we’re proud to celebrate 60 years of the Frank Olean Center, six decades of growth, resilience, and people coming together to make a difference.
We’ll be celebrating all year long, starting with our 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on April 24th at the Andrea Seaside Restaurant & Beach Bar. We hope you’ll join us!
“When you look at how the Olean Center has evolved over 60 years, meeting new needs while navigating ongoing challenges in state funding, it really is a remarkable story,” said Board President and parent Joanna Valentini. “This anniversary gives us the chance to celebrate that evolution with the broader community and to thank our loyal Olean Advocates for standing with us along the way.”
This anniversary is also a moment to reflect and to look ahead. At the heart of everything we do is community: direct support professionals, families, volunteers, employers, board members, and neighbors all coming together so people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can thrive. Sixty years in, that shared commitment is stronger than ever, and the future is full of possibility.
